Our first Christmas Festival was a huge success.
We started off the day with a Christmas Wreath workshop hosted by Vintage Crafts by Jaxs that was sold out months before. Plus our easy paced dog walk at 11am with a great turn out braving the cold.
With the main event kicking off at noon, our Christmas lights were on, the whole pub decorated, mulled wine warming and festive food available.
12 local businesses set up stalls on our terrace and we had people coming looking & buying throughout the day - stalls included…
Vintage Crafts By Jaxs, Matty’s Candles by Sharon LR, Newgate Nurseries, Goosnargh Gin, Chef R’s Chutneys, Fanny Adams, Little Treats, Body Shop with Jen, Jenny Berrill, Forever Living, Pebble Pictures & Jane Cotton.
There was a great festive atmosphere with it only getting better throughout the day thanks to the cast of Dick Whittington (Preston Musical Comedy Society) coming along talking to guests & performing one of the numbers from the show, Hesketh Silver Band playing throughout the afternoon, Slime & Block Printing workshops from Moho Crafts, A charity tuk tuk, Father Christmas stopping by, live music from Becky & Josh and a fantastic appearane including a meet and greet and performance from X Factor’s Chico, who made sure he said hello to every guest, member of the team & stall holders… what a gent!
We are also proud to have been able to raise donations & money for 2 great causes - Animal Issues Leyland and Rock FM’s Cash For Kids. If you couldn’t make the day but would still like to donate to cash for kids you can use this link (and thank you!)
