Butlers Farmhouse Cheeses

There is no escaping it, Butlers is a family business. That’s what makes things exciting, and these family values are the bedrock of our culture.
We just can’t get enough of cheese. As a family we eat, sleep and live cheese - it's our passion, and we like to think that we are really good at making it. We make all kinds of cheese, from classic Lancashire recipes to tiny soft cheeses inspired by those found in France.
We are extremely lucky because the majority of our milk comes from the fields that surround our dairy, many of which are farmed by extended family. Locality is really important to everything we do and we are able to ensure that there is minimal time, distance and impact in what we do.
All of our cheeses are made and matured under one roof in our farmhouse dairy and sent out from our store located 3 miles from the dairy. We are on an ongoing journey to ensure our packaging is fully recyclable and has the lowest impact it can on the Earth.
